We Went To See Them Dance
They have silenced us,
With their craft of excellence,
These dancers,
Bending, stretching, cavorting.
They have silenced us,
With the years of discipline,
They have endured,
To get to tonight.
They have silenced us,
Yes, the audience is in hush,
Not even my cough,
Dares to sound out.
They have silenced us,
And we are still stilled,
When an applause blooms,
But not from us, the audience.
Then a tiny voice ask,
"Who's clapping?"
"I dont see anyone clapping"
"Sound effects",
The other tiny voice whispers.

Rumpus Quadrille
What a rumpus, boys fighting on
the floor,
I looked but i'd never seen them before,
Where did they come from? two naughty boys,
Disturbing the peace, upsetting our joys;
They rolled then rumpus-thumped
Out the door,
I swear! i'd never seen them before.

Like a man in a museum
Eyes captivated by so much
Ancient issues, he muses

Although the future gathers in vine, bush, and tree: Persimmon, walnut, loquat, fig, and grape; still, Aesop's fox cared not for tomorrow, but only for the destruction of his opponent's now
Imagine looking at a lush bunch of green grapes and calling them sour! Left to me i'd ask to sample one before purchasing, not relying on or accepting his lie.
Fruit and nut although delicious ingredients for a Christmas black cake, i relish the rum, ceiling in the flavours, adding a much cherished, umph!
Don't jibber jabber,

Send a greeting,
Beat a pan,

Is here to stay.

Rain Forest Trek
Sneakers treck through the rain forest
Eyes a wandering through the tree tops
What's that sound we want to know
In the city we do not hear this
The marvel of the monkey ladder vine
From ground to the trees grows strong
Strong enough to become furniture
To listen to your guide is wise
For some of these plants can grab and hold you
Never wanting to let you go
But its okay to breath in the sweet
Fragrance of the incense trees

Last year, i bought a pair of silver sandals.They glitter in the sunlight. I admire my own feet with toes also painted silver.
This obsession with silver is not new. I suppose it will carry on long after the pair of sandals are no more wearable.
