[last train to San Fernando photo from Google]
One day the train
Chugged along its rails
And rested
Never again to whistle
Clank or chug
Then the buses rolled
With people kids and goods
The way things change
After long long semesters

ReplyDeleteEverything has its day...
ReplyDeleteI have recently started taking the train to the city, three hour trek due to issues driving. It's quite enjoyable. Nostalgic poem.
ReplyDeleteTransportation in our lifetime has seen many changes for sure! Trains still carry a lot of freight here.
ReplyDeleteI love you found the chug-chug of the train! (me too) Jae
ReplyDeleteSeems change is inevitable, Gillena. Nicely done.
