 Too much blood has been spilt;

Too much lives have been wasted.

Time to give peace a try;

Time to talk not kill one another.

Share a sapling to grow a tree;

Share a hug to comfort and soothe.

Make planet earth proud;

Make her wobble and spin happily

Sit at the table round;

Sit and sip with a sentence.

Change heal renew humankind;

Change for brighter histories and futures.

[From Google...the garden of saint paul's hospital ('leaf-fall') by  Van Gogh, 1889]

Maybe if he were at home, he would be caught under layers of paint literally, instead of looking out the window, as if enchanted, deep in autumn's meanderings.

A divine hand seemed to be mocking him, with tons and tons of yellow leaves painted to trees just a while ago, would have been green. And he, in his melancholia lost to staring at all that yellow.

stirred emotions --

leaves go a-whirligig

THIS IS MONDAY WRITES 417

Happy October

Here in Trinidad and Tobago we are still experiencing hot days with some Stormy-day interludes.

You've heard about the Monday Blues

well this is Monday WRites  (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).

[The Great Day of His Wrath by John Martin 1789 – 1854 from google]

Our Swelter

We swelter in a spell of hot days,

Not knowing what hell is, yet

Giving affirmation to heat and its ways.

Will our minds expand to set;

Standards,  none of which exist?

Scientists warned of climate change,

But verily some insist,

That scripture seeks our spell to range,

Between good behaviour and bad;

All is lost are the sayers of boom,

Lets make their faces to look sad;

So we kill and ambush to our doom.

To Our Dismay

 There is in the wall a window appalled;

Shutting in or shutting out installed

Questions, those

Puzzlers, even

The mind most peacefully set, is enthralled.

 Way Of The Wind

Let's see how this chapter enfolds.

I've always wanted to go on a visit,

To see the age old cherry trees,

In the Japanese festival.

To catch a sakura petal in my hand;

Or bask in the tremendous splendor

Of flowers carpeting a wonderland.

Bubble bubble if you must
