CHANT OF PANDEMIC DAYS

You can pocket space like gold coins

Hear the silence drop in your pockets and jingle

For the street are bare of crowds

The streets are bare of noisy jostle

The streets are bare of grackles on the side walk

The doors to the bars are shut, closed, bolted

The doors to the clothes shops are are shut, closed, bolted

The doors to the schools are shut, closed, bolted

The housewives prefer to hide

The children prefer to hide

The rains still fall

The clouds still puff out

The morning birds still sing

The Covid 19 virus was happier yesterday

The Covid 19 virus came out to play

The Covid 19 virus morphs and morphs

Still the humans hide away making

Masks

Vaccines

Videos

Music

Protocols

You can pocket space like gold coins

Hear the silence drop in your pockets and jingle

Jingle for health

Jingle for another day dawning

Jingle for a battle, Covid 19 the war is on!

GILLENA COX GARDEN PHOTOS 2021

The rains, the rains, oh dear the rains

Language of lushness speaks vociferously

So many appearances so much gains

Caladiums  spread like elephant ears

Season of torrents, oh dear the rains

Green's a colour verdant and unremorseful

Weeds and cultivars jostle without pains

Caterpillars long gone to moth wing nights

And flowers open for butterfly gains

Happy is the garden in season so wet

Soil, drunk on heaven's tears, oh dear the rains

Monday WRites 306

SONGS OF A JUKEBOX
Do they have this unique song in the jukebox
Once for the anointing twice for the fox

Who's wiser than a legacy
Who can outrun his destiny

There comes a time then
At goodbye o'clock when

All we desire is that rest of peace

A pink supermoon wanders, in her realm of sky
She looms large, as ripe as a rosy mango
The night lingers with her cozy sigh;
Who will contest her blooming down below?
She muses, she wanders in her realm of sky
The night is cool in a solstice saucer;
What says the whispers of Spider lilies? aye...
As her slender petals mimic meteor stars;
Should she raise her eyelashes to those on high
Or saunter on the night breeze as prayer on wings
While supermoon wanders in her realm of sky

Ernest Hemingway quote : When you start to live outside yourself, it’s all dangerous.

Apples give that crunch to being eaten

And soup you can slurp but never chew

How are trees so deeply rooted the grow

Down and up and never touch the sky

Only in dreams are the  pink blossoms of Poui brighter

And cliffs I stay away from, for i am afraid of heights

what right have those morning birds in their frenzied whistling

to nudge me out of my slumber comfort  zone shrieking their chants of

exercise being the right way to start your day, really!!!
