 Daylong

wishing it was still yesterday

i closed tightly shut my today

in daydream

at times the dawn is late coming

with herald birds sweetly singing

it's daylight

wings flapping in pairs and in threes

flocks fly high above the tall trees

look! daymoon

lingering still amidst the clouds

sentient being yield to clouds

at daybreak

gratitude is all  that we need

nourish our thoughts for this seed

through daylong.

Then Came The Pandemic Locknut

Humans hiding why should we care?

Something's amiss way over there

In lockdown ?

All of the doors shut and bolted?

And the window views assorted?

A lockbox!

Is that how the blue planet is?

Measuring distances gee whiz!

Sure lockout!

They are dealing with health issues?

Is there a shortage of tissues?

A locksmith?

Why would they be in need of him

When scientist have made vaccines?

Their lockset.
