Morning Speaks Softly
When overhead sky is blank of cloud,
And morning birds dot its reserves,
Tree branches are sure to observe,
There is no need of noises loud.
And life to witness sunrise is proud;
More breaths are added now to this curve,
Paint all faces to worship and to serve,
When overhead sky is blank of cloud.
Creation wrestlles to discipline its crowd,
Not because they so deserve,
Rather that they may conserve,
There is no need of noises loud.
When overhead sky is blank of cloud,
Another dash of light and dark to swerve
There is no need of noises loud.

I love this line: Paint all faces to worship and to serve. Such a beautiful day it is when it is just the morning birds and there is not a lot of noise. Have a wonderful day!

Morning does speak softly, Gillena, and I love the way it murmurs through your villenot. The image of morning birds dotting a bank of cloud is gorgeous.

A wonderfully written villonnette. There is beauty in a sky blank of clouds.

I love this. Usually I enjoy birdsong in the early morning ... the birds you describe might be a different story. No need of noises loud ~~~ thank you so much for leaving me a comment.

Wow, this is really nice. I read it aloud and it has a beautiful, quiet tone. I feel this work as an ecological poem about protecting our environment.
