Breath: a haibun
Morning silvery sky: the coolness caresses my cheek. There is a shiver amoung the banana fronds, the response of a gentle breeze.
Arms stretched wide, i inhale, hold, exhale, again and again. This fitting exercise of breath is like giving thanks for the morning; new crisp and fragile.
on the neighbour's roof -
there a kiskadee is perched in
silence for a while

I love your breath haibun, Gilena, particularly ‘shiver among the banana frond’ and the little kisadee perched on the neighbour’s roof!

A peaceful start to the day. I enjoyed the imagery and taking in the breaths. I had to look up "kiskadee". A fine fellow.

What a wonderful morning. I also had to look up 'Kiskadee'.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the sense of a ritual, a welcome to the morn. And the Kiskadee (had to look it up) is reminiscent of our flycatchers here, a beautiful bird for a haiku :)
