[Out of the Darkness: Fire Painting by Esther Griffith from google]

So the evil Which enters the office and hands her an

apple.

(We all know the story about which  half is edible and which is not).

She, being

(Trini to the bone liked mangoes and pomeracs).

So, she refuses the apple.

A few days later, she, the evil Which, does not show up for work.

As the rumour goes

(It good fuh she! why she had to go and thief de office petty cash)

The evil Which is gone!!!

  6. Lol. I could hear the language of Trinidad loud and clear in the asides which work so marvelously giving flavour to an already flavourful and fun tale! I do wish you would do more of this, Gillena. I can't get enough of Trinidadian vernacular. :) Great use of pun, btw.
