Bits Of Inspiration ~ Happy New Year

image from public domain

"Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, 'It will be happier." Alfred Lord Tennyson

☆´,•*´¨★

I heard the wind this morning
A loud whoooooshing
The kind that causes breath to pause
From whence soul humbly withdraws
To divinity

Then it petered and dissolved there
In the calm of unseen atmosphere
Today is yesterday's tomorrow
It's like that the unseen day - Tomorrow
I broke into a hum

Those comforting songs you sing, enfold
When hope whispers at the threshold
Of a moment

  18. Love the Tennyson quote and your incorporation of onomatopoeia to help the reader feel and hear the wind.
