SUN FIELDS

They set out early to harvest sunfruit

Earthlings thought the sun was a star

Those earthlings their thoughts are so cute

Woman carry a large earthen jar

For the radiant fields are ripe and a-plenty

  4. Yours is the first poem about the sun, Gillena, and closer to home than most of the others. I love the thought of harvesting sunfruit – I wonder how it would taste – in ‘radiant fields are ripe and a-plenty’.

  5. Living in the sun is so surreal and creative. Love it when that happens.
