One Light

There is just one light

in  morning's sky, silent

With clouds the colour of charcoal,

And a breeze cooling as melon;

Find me a space here,

tucked into the silence,

I will stay a little longer;

Waiting for at least,

One bird to sing.

  14. Oh, that ending. I'm there! Even though my "there" is probably physically very different to your "there", the feeling bridges distance and difference. ❤️
