 QUESTIONS ON SUBTLE CHANGE

Who slurped the stars off the night sky?

And the rooster who crowed the three o'clock chant of dawn?

Who shifted the compass needle of rainy days and days of sun,

To thread instead a motif of haphazard wind and dust?

Tell me! who.

  11. Another poem with questions! The mystery of the stars stays with us. I hope we never get the answers (and I agree, great opening line).
