Today's mosaics 'Ixoras Luv The Rains'

NEW CHANT
Remember those days,
When hard work was the ways,
Of all believers,
And good morning greeters?

Work hard, to today's amazement,
Has almost vanished, to astonishment
Of new normal chants;
Stay home, stay safe, enchants;

The mind and heart,
In us to work smart.

  7. The Ixora is beautiful! I understand your message and am reading it on the perfect day.
    It is Labor Day today, which strangely enough, is celebrated by not having to work. (That has always been true, not just nowadays). (And of course we are retired, so every day is a day off!)

  11. Very true. A reversal in our thinking and one that has us redefining what the real work of humanity truly is. Thoughtful, Gillena. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Oh, yes, I'm so glad I do remember. This generation does not remember and doesn't know what they are missing! Sad, sad state we are in.

  22. Gillena - the Ixoras is so lush, and I love the pairing of that soft yellow with the pink. Your poem is spot on ... how the world has changed due to COVID and other factors. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
