Hello December glad you are here with us
You've heard about the Monday Blues well this is Monday WRites (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).
Welcome to Monday WRites # 328: A Happy Monday to all. Be Safe.
AND
Challenge: to choose a line from “When We Sing of Might,” by Kimberly Blaeser.
I dress in their stories patterned and purple as night. And use it in a short prose
HO HO HO AND SMILES
They venture into the woodlands looking for elves when they should be chasing candy canes and bright
nosed reindeers
How can the darkness not choose to sleep, baring the events of Divali, Hanukah, comet C2021 and Christmas
Ho ho ho the red suits keep popping up from mall to mall. The list of excuses keep getting longer and longer.
"Why were you naughty? Again tell me" I dress in their stories patterned and purple as night. And, i keep my factory elves busy till Christmas eve night.

Gillena, I like what you did with the prompt line. Tis the Season! I have not heard of The Jesse Tree before. Is it part of a T&T holiday?
ReplyDeleteGlad i sparked your interest Jade. I know of the Jesse tree from our church. Pre pandemic days It was one of the yearly advent activities. Each day at Mass a new symbol is put on. And children would place these icons on the Jesse Tree. No it is not specific to Trinidad and Tobago.

Leave it to you to root out the positive qualities to the prompt quote. After almost 2 years of Covid leanness and meanness, thanks for reminding us that it is, in fact the holiday season.
