Monday WRites152

[all internet images used in this mosaic. Fair Use]

UNDER MILLION STARS
Wine me a heady sweet muscat
Bright moon sentinels no chat
Music me with guitar strums
For night of repast surely is at

Dance you stars in somber sky
While we amazed to wonder fly
By whispers sweet and sensuous
Fill our tryst with arduous high

When sated love uncovered now
Wrap entwined its fantasy cow
Trinket poems in garlands strung
Like lamplight to moth staying vow

HAPPY MONDAY. And last day of April. You've heard about the Monday Blues ❧✿❧ well this is Monday WRites (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance or practice eg the rite of afternoon tea).
Welcome to Monday WRites #152, ❧✿❧ What's your mood like today ❧✿❧ I invite you to link in with one of your WRites

❧✿❧

Blog hopping today with imaginary garden. In April we write a poem every day. Phew our task ends today.

Thirty poems in April: a final in verbs
Prompted by Brudberg: Challenged - Take some nouns and use them as verbs and put them into a poem. Unlock all the objects, let them dance, let them swirl.

PONDERING MORNING
When i stand, staring at the mountains.
From whence a thousand words fountain
Meanderings, to my muse, only she hears;
Oftentimes, of this i am most certain.

Such colours are of the rainbow blessed;
Trees, birds, flowers, variously dressed,
Representing a romp of creation's idea.
To planet earth, all of which is bequest.

A sip of coffee in morning reverie,
Of rain, sunshine, warmth, and every
Utterance of birdsong beneath clouds.
Chance laughter to fill day's glory.

Those days, memories play in mind's garden,
Smiles wonder at youth's ego, oh pardon;
The wild spurts of youthful brashness
These figures add up to favourful laden

A SPELL OF ROSE
pluck thee petal by petal
by orb of refrains settle
question this rose and ink
oh passion sway her mettle

tis night this moon in sync
will barter sold hearts for mink
for a rose let sound be taste
while ear behold a lover wink

dark thorns be stranger haste
to rose a maiden soul re-paste
fairest peeled of jealous sake
wild plea fraught to no disgrace

blush sweetly innocence partake
stretch of hand quell his quake
sated web through love spell spun
for sweet fragrance of rose sake

NICOTIANA TABACUM
So what shall we do now with her
That broad-leafed gifted allure
That nature shaped so lovingly
Why use, then deem her so impure

She's certainly no poison ivy
To that for sure we are all privy
Furling boldly through air drafts
Nor is she Venus Fly Trap livey

Why reap to smoke her anyway
Is she good for anything, touché
Fodder, insect repellent, healing
She is so much abused now-a-day

Does she have a place in paradise
Where fairy and elf can share a nice
Shade from Eden's sun a-blazing
Why do we not offer to her a reprise

NUTMEG SPIKED
The colours of the morning are
Bird tweets and sweeping brooms so far
Add a wish for coffee sweetened
With a little ground nutmeg from a glass jar

SHE LIVED IN THAT SHOE?
She has bought a shoe store down the street
Kids all grown now, you are in for a treat
One's a baker, one a tailor, and a few, astronauts
She turned The Shoe into a museum, quite a feat

She has lived in meter, aged with rhyme and grace
With wit and humour thus, she kept her place
Outliving princesses of tresses let down in abandon
Bare cupboards are now for viewers, never in haste.
