Blue Mood : A Fold Poem
When she left him, sadness reigned
Supreme, in every aspect of his being;
It's hard to say why, everytime it rained
He picked up his guitar, but never shed a tear;
Still, when she left him, sadness reigned;
Music can stir the soul in every way,
In every emotional state named,
Yet he choose the rain, to strum
Away those feelings, that to him pained
A heavy heart, heavier than a paint brush,
Truely when she left him, sadness reigned

"A heavy heart, heavier than a paintbrush": the ekphrastic resonates so vividly with the blue brush strokes, the paintbrush relaying the pain. I love the way you use the fold form, Gillena.

Why does love have to be so hard? I feel his melancholy acutely here. He may never get over her.
