Rain and rain and more rain. To round off The Rainy Season, to add a contrast background to Caribbean Christmas trees sparkling and blinking, indoors and outdoors.
The choice to be festive like the Christmas trees transfering your hope into the radiance of lights, or go for the gloom the misty grey clouded mornings, seeping depressed days into the soul.

Gillena, I like how you are making a conscious decision to choose bright holiday trees over the mist of the ongoing rains. Happy your rainy season is almost over!

oh I hear you, rain and big globs of it falling like stones. We've been having a tropical wet season too I think and more on the way. I hope the humidity is not too bad. Sounds like you have the festive lights to cheer you!

I must share that my small city is getting rained on these days, while the ski mountain 20 minutes away is getting dumped on and the skiers are loving it. Rain rain don't go away.
ReplyDeleteI've lived in places where the rainy season and Christmas clashed. Great poem, Gillena!

I love the contrast of rain to Christmas lights, and hope to depression.
