Technology rewards us with conversations and closeness. We share like and subscribe. We zoom, link up and link in.

But what about our natural environment. The destruction is overwhelming. Building crumble like the tossed paper balls of am irate writer.  Machine guns and tankers deface the landscape. Where are the trees? The earth cries as blood is spilt.

  1. This haibun/haiku series grabs my heart, Gillena! We pollute the earth with trash and violence. Mankind is a fallen creature but maybe we can change our ways...

  4. A truthful and timely haibun, Gillena, with a lovely series of haiku to link your prose together, into a technological paradox. We all love Open Link Live, but we are also aware of what technology does to the planet, and we are sad what television offers us on a daily basis. The final ‘here’s a garbage bag’ hits home.

  5. So much to be sorry for, alas I think the only thing we feed the soil with is the blood of innocents that make the black earth become fertile.
