A Labour Day Wordle can look something like this
Another public holiday? Yes. Today in Trinidad and Tobago we celebrate Labour Day. 
Labour day is rife with history of oil field workers marches and strikes and attests to the evolvement of labour union in this twin island country.
Names like Tubal Uriah "buzz " Butler and Adrian Cola Rienzi come to foremind. Better working conditions and a voice for labourers are what all the strife and strikes were for.

    We have Labor Day in the US in September, which has lost most of its meaning. For most, it's a day for end of summer cookouts,

    Powerful haibun and I love your concluding haiku. Labor Day was always a special holiday for a lifelong supporter of unions during my years of working as a union member.

    With apologies for my ignorance and out-of-touch-ness...is that Winston Peters, The Mighty Gypsy, singing?

    My husband went to Trinidad in the 1990s and brought back an album of his. I think our students had worn it out in a month but it has lingered in my mind.
