WHORL OF ZINNIA PETALS - A Fold Poem

The zinnias were single whorled

They were pretty pinks and bright

Back in the day when i was a child

How i loved  too the orange bursts.

Our zinnias were single whorled

The Barbados Pride and the Vandas

The variety of colour always heeded

Reds, purples, and sunny yellows

A bouquet in which i ever reveled

Days of pulling out weeds by hand 

My zinnias were single whorled

    Pulling weeds in a flower garden when the flowers are in bloom or hoeing weeds in a blooming orchard, experiences I would always remember.

    I'm bookmarking the links to learn more about the fold form. I am a failure at growing zinnias. Mine are never the bright colors I see others have. Mine always end up so faded looking. Then, I had one looking nice and the frost came.

    A happy message from a happy mind. The "folded" form uses a refrain. I didn't check the rhyme scheme or syllable count. It is similar to several we have done in the past.
