MY INGLENOOK There's neither snow blizzard nor hoar Yet i seek shelter to be lost and wonder With my little gifts of dinosaurs I spend my time in my little corner Snug in pandemic days with little monsters In an imagined Inglenook gives me much pleasure © gillena cox 2020
An inglenook (Modern Scots ingleneuk), or chimney corner, is a recess that adjoins a fireplace. The word comes from ingle, meaning "fireplace" in Old English (from Old Scots or Irish aingeal, "angel" or euphemistically "fire"), and nook.
