Now today, i shall rest in my words
I will lay there slumbering still
A crumb of laziness, like those birds
Perched on branch of hushed sunlight
Latched there, i shall rest in my words
Breathing silence, inhaling oxymorons
Ignoring the cacaphony of a virus, stirred
Like dandelion seeds on whiffs of normalcy
No way shall i dance to anything i have heard
Simmering in flavours of spicy metaphors
Countenance today: i shall rest in my words.

When we rest in words we put our brain to constructive work instead of round and round worrying about the problems of the world.

I enjoyed your restful fold, Gillena, especially the end rhymes and the idea of ‘inhaling oxymorons’ and ‘simmering in flavours of spicy metaphors’. It is indeed a joy to rest in words.
