PHOENIX TEARS - FOLD
Is this an omelet breakfast ?
Well of course go ahead then,
Crack those eggs, whisk them fast,
No just sitting there in the fridge,
If it's to be an omelet breakfast
Like the bird from fire and ashes,
Pandemic tears and sorrows last
Never forever, tis our challenge,
This quest of new normal, surely,
For resurrection day must come,
Seems this is an omelet breakfast.

Was the omelette made with phoenix eggs, Gillena? We will surely rise from those pandemic tears and sorrows, although a new normal takes some getting used to.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to parallel ordinary breakfast eggs to omelet beside the end result of the phoenix

I haven't had breakfast yet today, Gillena; but I'll do so soon, and I'll be thinking of this wonderful poem while I eat.

Eggs look so pretty and "normal" when they are whole. But a good omelet tastes so delicious. I guess a bit of breaking and a bit (or a lot) of heat can be endured, if the result is an omelet breakfast.

My husband makes the tastiest omelets. That's been one perk of having him home every day in this new normal.

Somehow the omelet carries the message this pandemic will become a thing of the past one day. Much needed message!
