Monday WRites 256

[TODAY'S MOSAIC: how i feed me]

[Quadrille - Bramble]

Through the bramble they went,
With basket in hand.
Oh precious time spent;
He, Annie, and sister Rhand.
Since those days were hottest,
And season so dry,
The berries were fullest;
Some to savor, and some for pie.
Nary a thought,
That danger awaits.

  10. Gillena~ lovely poem. you remind me of the berry bushes at my parent's house, and how we would be sent out to collect them. and how we would eat most of them, thus there would be no pie...

  11. You're right nobody thinks about the dangers of brambles when they set to pick berries.

  12. Hopefully, there wasn't too much danger in their adventure.

  13. Gillena - the food in your mosaic really caught my eye - after I write this comment, I am off to get a snack! I hope the only danger in the brambles were the brambles themselves! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
