Monday WRites 131

DOVE RONDELET
one dove sits in the Cherry tree,
aura of morning sky serene,
one dove sits in the Cherry tree,
clasp of tiny pink feet to boughs, like
faithful fingers to rosary beads,
and dewdrop to wild grasses feeds
one dove sits in the Cherry tree.

  1. Love this poem. My mother's spirit was in this beauty. Her name was Colombe (dove in French) and she always went to bed with her rosary :) My Monday was pretty blue too.

  7. So beautiful, Gillena. One dove is sitting on my porch right now, eating seeds.

  8. I really like the tone of this piece, like a nursery rhyme danced by birds on a string of beads...

  10. I love the tiny pink feet of the dove and the rosary. Right now doves are pecking under the birdfeerders in my yard. This is such a sweet poem.
