Monday WRites 65

THE OUTDOOR PICNIC
They tell me of the outdoor picnic
On the green grass in summer sun
Sounds wonderful i have to admit
Friends, neighbours and families group
Freedom celebrates the outdoor picnic
Wearing her colours of red white and blue
Yes folks; i can surely picture it
Night sky comes alive in a different way
Bursts of amazement fireworks predict
Their hearts to honour the fallen braves
In showers of peace at the outdoor picnic

  5. Sounds really nice. I remember most as family reunions in the parks. Around Houston those picnics for July 4th are mostly held inside where it is air conditioned.
