WHOM
Whom would you say she was
If she snuck up in front of you
One day
Before Christmas, like milk or cookies
Then again, before New Year confetti

Ah; the sweetest relish
remains on her tongue
Fruity and fresh
Of
An apple plucked, without blemish
Without regret
Ah yes! they both tasted. For they were
Lovers first of all

Is she then Eve
Or is she then Eva

Aha! The absence of blossom
The laden tree
Now harvest time sets in

  3. This Eve (or Eva) who arrives -- just once? -- on the eves of turning-points is a merry trickster indeed. Where does she come from? Where does she go? To both questions: within. Fine bite of fresh mango.

  6. I'd have to say Eve came first because she was the first lady. I like the "Lovers first of all" although I only know one and it takes two to have 'lovers'.
Nice riddle even if I was far off. Congratulations on your first prompt, it was fun. What season do I come to Trinidad for the Carnival? Spring, like our Mardi Gras?

    1. Thanks for dropping in Jim. Our carnival parade in the street is always the Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Of course before those two days the season incorporates fetes. Theatre. and song. And steel band competitions.

      February/March are the months

      Much love...
