Courage and continue are C words
Not meant just for the service of the smile
When the caterpillars are finished eating
Then the chrysalis hangs from the branch
The door to flight are wings of courtesy
Whispering wishes which court the light
Then comes the emerging a curtsy to life
Dynamic and oft times cruel
Onward and further into caverns unexplored

    You show how courage is so instinctive in inbred by using the caterpillar as your example which achieves the impossible in its short lifetime. Beautifully written Gillena.

    Gillena, the image and the words that you have used, with this poem speaks louder than the quietest whisper. As the butterfly has a very special meaning to the transcommunity, as one of our symbols, for growth and rebirth, in our chosen gender. Thank you, for bringing forth this, in your poem.

    I love how you made me think of butterflies letting go of their fear but venture on into hidden territories like caverns and such. I like this courage. It's like, open up, fly into unknown territory and soar!
