EVER/NEVER
Every sundry moon glow
Whence
Morning returns

Is there ever
A question
Left
Unprompted

THIS UNDYING LOVE
Another Saturday ends a week
Of truant hours for those who seek
Azure are skies, a mocking bird skips
Evening sighs say thou wind has lips
What more would be whispered
Than that already secreted
To waving branches having no care
Except to yield to wind's despair
For ever a love refusing to slumber
Never to forget always to remember

  1. Two great poems, utilizing the ever/never contrast. You have conveyed a lot of meaning in the brief first poem, and the decastich is beautifully done.

  5. Old love can be taken for granted. But it shouldn't. Instead it must be worked for and ever improved. New acquaintances sometimes have strong appeal. Adventure in the offing.

  6. Yes they are both terrific. Although I appreciate the sonnetina very much, I think I like the first piece even better.
