celebrating the Soca Warriors; Western Main Road St James, Trinidad - 2006

YEAH SOCA WARRIORS
so when we heard our team would represent,
we spilled out into the street to share consent;
red white and black, the colours we fly;
every one, young and old, our spirits high;
from then on, every foot applied to a ball
sensed a dream - a youngster answering the call
the Soca Warriors to Germany they went;
World Cup fever we never regret, the energy spent,

  5. The exciting and wonder and hope of that journey. In England we start of every soccer tournament believing we can win and never do.

  7. I remember such celebrations following some soccer victories when we lived in the Netherlands--people literally filling the streets. Quite an amazing thing to see for me.
