[René Magritte’s famous painting, Son of Man.courtesy dVerse Poets Pub]

An apple a day

To stave off the medics

Just place it in front your face

Leave it there the entire day

When night enters the arena

Remove the mask

The apple that was used

To hide behind

Now face the moon and stars
