BIRTHDAYS THAT WAY
Hip hip hurrah, the way birthdays appear
There again and again
Repeatedly like a cheer
Sometimes boisterous some times tame
Come raise a glass, the way birthdays appear
Sneaking in with face lines
And bodies shaped like pear
With streamers and buntings
And friends ever so dear
To eat cake in slices
Circles around the sun, the way birthdays appear
