Monday WRites 150

[used images from the internet for today's mosaic]

BUMPING IN NUMBERS
Back then, [circa 1963]:
Leaving Central, along the way,
Sugarcane arrows look up to azure skies.
At the Croisee, in San Juan [we say Sawah],
We meet a new bustling vibe.
Up the Saddle Road to the school.
Us early folks in crisp pleated plaid skirts,
And white shirts,
Would absorb extra time playing Moral.
In boxes one to eight, the ball bumps.
Box One: one bump, and so on, and so forth;
Before the school bell sounds.
Chalk is white and balls are grey.
Ah, but [2018]...
Balls are much prettier now-a-days.

Blog hopping today with imaginary garden. In April we write a poem every day

It's All Fun and Games
Prompted by Rommy and challenged: to write a poem that incorporates the idea of a child's game - board game or a physical game (tag, hide and seek, etc.).
