AFTER COFFEE CORNFLAKES
Don't discard the cereal carton Tony.
Let me shape words for you.
High,
To clouds touching steeples,
Knowing seams of adhering.
Curved, like a slow steady gaze;
Far,
Into vast tomorrows,
Where heartbeats sync.
Forming shadows, bold and daring,
Play;
Rhythms of sunlight to ribbon,
Pale cool slow moon kisses.
I shape my words for you, Tony;
Round,
Like rings in eternal galaxies,
Where only laughter resides.
