THIS PLACE
Who would have thought this place could
be so now; without hug-up, and shoulder slaps
or people laughing: hard hard, loud loud
and the streets bare, like a bald headed man
Who would have thought this place could
exist in the annuals of our history, so soon
No tabla, no tassa no steelpan would
dare to enliven a crowded street, because
we court death, for corona virus strains, could
wipeout any dancing street of Trinidad and Tobago
to a page subtitled long time this place could.
