There stars are out
No one cares a hoot
Its movie night and
Our couch is comfy

Bring on the popcorn
Extra butter is best

Eyes pop at the bizzare
Hands will cover eyes
At some point even though
They are greasy and salty

 ENJOY.
Interlude by Amy Lowel(1874-1925)

When I have baked white cakes
And grated green almonds to spread on them;
When I have picked the green crowns from the strawberries
And piled them, cone-pointed, in a blue and yellow platter;
When I have smoothed the seam of the linen I have been working;
What then?
To-morrow it will be the same:
Cakes and strawberries,
And needles in and out of cloth
If the sun is beautiful on bricks and pewter,
How much more beautiful is the moon,
Slanting down the gauffered branches of a plum-tree;
The moon
Wavering across a bed of tulips;
The moon,
Still,
Upon your face.
You shine, Beloved,
You and the moon.
But which is the reflection?
The clock is striking eleven.
I think, when we have shut and barred the door,
The night will be dark
Outside.

  5. With modern movies and TV, you can almost count on the bizarre popping out in them. I cover my eyes also if it is too much to bear.

  11. A lot of the movies it's best to cover the eyes at points of the story.
    I can't eat popcorn, colonoscopy doctor's orders, that and seeds and nuts.

  13. Movie nights are fun...Too bad, considering how hard Amy Lowell tried to make visual images of her poems, that nobody's put them into a movie.
