 REMEMBERING MELODIES

Bird song at dawn belongs to awakening,

Grey sky has a chance now to colour brag,

Then to silver, some pinks are showing;

How in the planet's name do those birds

Remember melodies, dawn belongs to awakening;

Coolness of morning shadows,

Lend to a new day of enjoying;

Vanilla ice cream will savour dessert spoons

Licked to childhood rememberings,

Awe belongs in  every sunset,

Gratitude at sunrise, dawn belongs to awakening.

  1. Oh yes, Gillena, bird song at dawn definitely belongs to awakening. Good question, how do birds remember melodies?

  5. Our all, moods, pleasure, eating, and more are influenced by Mom Nature.
    Nice write, I enjoyed the birds. From early morning ours leave their nests and find a fence or roof peak from which to chat with each other and sing to us. I especially like talking with the Mocking Birds, "Who cooks for you" in my shrill voice I call. For sure if they are around they will talk back to me. Sometimes I'll add a second, third, or fourth "you" and they will return with some extra "you's" of their own.
