November is here. Happy month of November to all visiting.
You've heard about the Monday Blues well this is Monday WRites (musing on the definition here of rite, as any customary observance for eg the rite of afternoon tea).
Welcome to Monday WRites # 323: A Happy Monday to all. Be Safe.

Quadrille - Careen
This year swiftly steals by enmasked.
Still hidden are smiles to public guise
We careen felled by a virus
Unpredictable as the internet
Cruel as an angry storm
Our unsteady wobbly legs learned
That walking was a gift of
Going places and getting up close

Boy isn't that the truth! Oh yes....we did indeed careen through emotions, news, fear, and so many emotions with Covid....most especially in those early days.
Excellent use of the word careen here!
So much is getting back to some new normal, but we are still working from home...

Ironically, secondary to my impaired balance, even when Covid will be in the rear view mirror, I will still have wobbly legs and will be careening everywhere.

This is incredibly poignant. Yes, we have careened through so much this year and the last .. here's hoping the virus is eradicated soon. 💝💝

Here for the Quadrille, and just wanted to say I miss normal life, too. People's smiles, or even the ability to see their facial expressions. Sigh.
