MOON POESY
What a large large moon i exclaimed
To the offering of a night sky long planned

A stunning moon greeted my stares
From a distance still to me unfathomable

When that bright moon seared my thoughts
I stared in wonder for this was a night

A moonlit course of opening my heart
To the shadowy foibles encased in poesy

Is there ever a moon on high not loving
A poet's soul not witholding a swooning

  4. Nice reading, Gillena, while thinking of the powers of the larger moons. I have an affinity for them, some say that I then will grow fangs, howell to the moon, and bite the ladies on their necks. We just went through one last week. It grew from sliver to your immense globe very fast.

    1. I love the idea of moon poesy, Gillena! I do love those lines:

'A moonlit course of opening my heart
To the shadowy foibles encased in poesy'
and, of course, the final couplet!
