The Reality
So very clear i dare say
I do remember that day
Gun toteing men
Wearing fatigues
Crawling about on the TV screen
Just like in a movie scene
Only
That was the reality
Not one bit surprising
Until
The announcement of
A coup d'etat

Well done. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's real...

Big boys with their toys – all playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians or something. What a pity they take themselves seriously!

Gillena, I really hope that didn't happen to you. How traumatic if so! I think of the ICE agents terrorizing neighborhoods in the US right now. We are living in frightening times.
ReplyDeleteYou describe them perfectly here:
"Gun toteing men
Wearing fatigues
Crawling about"
A memory of a 1990 coup here in Trinidad🇹🇹

It's nice to play cowboy and Indians but sadly it is now for real!
