[Beloved Oil Painting By James Gavin from google]

Beloved Moonshine

Meeting the storm with a kiss

Oblivious to what we will miss

The wind like the way snakes hiss

Country roads dusty

The put put of a tractor hasty

What she said so nasty

Ripples at surface lever

Where moon shine sever

The thoughts of dark nights ever

When the taste of sugar is sweet

And the taste of honey to eat

Let the colours of treacle meet

For moonshine lifts

The beloved with winding hearts

To taste to see the bloomed roses

  2. I enjoyed your beloved moonshine, Gillena, especially the thought of ‘meeting the storm with a kiss’ and letting the ‘colours of treacle meet’.
