Perfect title for your poem, Gillena. "The pages of comfort she now sought." is a place many seek and it sounds like she found it. Beautiful and happy for her.

ReplyDeleteThis poem is one of my favourites of yours Gillena! I love the alliterative ‘weary of wheels of toiling day’, the bookmark simile, and the ‘umbrella of words’, which had to be completed with tea!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kim - I was literally just going to write the same thing about this being one of my favorites of yours, Gillena!

Beautiful comparisons you've made.... being snuggled between pages and being safe under an umbrella of words. That is gorgeous, Gillena.

And tea of course! (I am having so much trouble commenting on your site---this is my third different browser attempt...so if I don't comment, it's not because I don't try...)

Gillena - lovely tropical flowers. And I can relate to your poem - I had a day yesterday where I just needed to get off the beaten track - but with wine instead of tea! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday every week while I have been host - it was truly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your lovely comments Angie. Best Wishes.
