Peppers were named by Christopher Columbus and Spanish explorers who were searching for peppercorn plants to produce black pepper. Columbus took samples of a wide variety of peppers back to Europe where they became quite popular.

    I never knew peppers were brought back to Europe by Columbus! We love spicy peppers.

    Those peppers looks quite frightening.. I know that some are pretty strong. But it sounds wonderful with a fair for such great produce.

    Our County and State Fairs are agricultural, plus carnival rides and BBQ. I like the term "paw-paws".
