SWEET SWEET OCTOBER
There there, i see you, afro-haloed;
it is the month of October,
i garland your neck with
imaginary kisses, futuristic whimsies;
later though, we do kiss.
There there, i see a sky, chock full of clouds,
In the afternoon traffic,
Ah! i say to our boy (though a man now),
The angels, surely are rejoicing,
swaddled new baby -
the flashing of cell phone clicks
and granma kisses

Magaly asks us to turn October into a poem
How sweet, and for a mother a boy is always a boy isn't he?

Regardless of how far into autumn a boy's life reaches, for his mama he'll always be a baby. Such tenderness, Gillena.

Ah! i say to our boy (though a man now),
ReplyDeleteThe angels, surely are rejoicing,
Contrary to common beliefs a boy gets a lot of pointers from the mother who usually is closer to him than to the fsther
