Pink Poui - Queens Park Savannah; Yellow Poui - Woodford Square; Port of Spain, Trinidad

TIMELY DRILL
Igniting a fire to holiness remembreth,
The flame of Holy Week catches April,
As she slips past the faded edges of March;
Pinks and yellows of poui trees a timely drill

Setting aflame mountain and park
Awesome views of beauty stark

  5. Gilenna,

    This is a busy week of remembering the events of Holy Week. Much pain and passion associated with all the days leading up to Easter Sunday. An April timing, brings some brightness into view, with your delightful trees.

  9. A very apt poem, Gillena, to remind us of the significance of Lent and Easter. Wonderful use of the imagery of the blooming trees that can signify the blooming of our hearts as we contemplate the Passion.
