'WE BEAT' CLOSURE
Wind, is not who has stolen the vibe,
Nor Mocking Birds frolicking through pruned Ixoras.
It is just a time of capsized-jouvert ending.
Another end May-into-June festival time timed-out
To closure, but this year on a new note.
The folk has had earful of calypso and pan;
Belly full of corn soup, roti,
Ribald and rhetoric, staged under light of moon.
A count of days, till next year, that is all.
Now the festival of 'we beat' is over.

We Beat sounds like a great way to get summertime started, your poem paints the picture and the mosaic brings it alive.
