SUSURRATION

The rainbow was humming a soft susurration
When i looked to the ixora
There was no bee

The rainbow was humming a soft susurration
When i looked to the sky
Morning was still in the making

The rainbow was humming a soft susurration
Grey clouds were folding themselves
Letting curtains of azure show

The rainbow was humming a soft susurration
when i looked to her band of colour
She smiled vanishing slowly

DANDELION
In a chiaroscuro of shapes your hand,
Pledging a bouquet so winsome and,
Bursting with this gift desire of miles,
Of weightless flights to carve smiles,
On the moon or hearts aflame with,

The wonder of magical dreams;
Formless shadows part the streams,
Of night bringing to day time,
Sweet senses with changes in clime,
Passing through asteroids in orbit;

Morning sun delights her kisses,
Where baskets carried by their misses,
Pluck the fragrance of radiant blooms;
An array of colours, array of plumes,
And there among them waning dandelions.

WOUNDED LOVE
Roses, roses rosebud years
bloomed in passion unfurled
in creative patterns of light

one day when overcast clouds
wept in jealous spasms
of blinding rain pour

that's when darkness crept in
on tail of dragon storm
ouch!

for roses long of stem
like day and days covet by another
pricked blood from wounded love

HEARTS OF GREEN
i colour my heart green for love
of Planet Earth where trees leaf
in chlorophyll choirs high above
bird song painting greyscale dawn
lifting sleepy hearts green for love

offerings steep newness and option
tweeting songs shrill and somber of
cathedrals sanctifying daylight hours
azure to sky emerald to ocean thereof
wishing peace and every harmonic hue
i'll wear my heart colour green for love

WINDING
To the mouse with four tiny feet
The stairway is its eternity.
Not to be encumbered of numbers
Nor to be absorbed of time

The stairway; is an existence
Not of direction
Nor of inclination
The stairway is just that

Elegant and winding to human feet
Treading through the history of an era

Or the challenge of an ancient
Dulled by mutation of anatomy

The stairway remains the cliche
With its creaks and winding ways.

GLUM PYJAMAS SHED
Like today, some mornings i awake, wearing my glum as if designer pyjamas, one should revel in with class. Ah but my heart cries out for solace. For is not joy, now my inheritance? I turn my heart in prayer to the One True God, who has given His Son in ransom for my life of grace and mercy.
Leaving the curtains drawn, in early morning dimness, with its timpani of raindrops, I light a candle, pick up my rosary and head out to sit in the gallery. The feel of the beads against my skin is enlivening, lifting my spirits as i chant my meditation, nonchalant about sky.
Oh but a magical, majestic pull lifts my eyes.

a rainbow arcs
its set pattern of colour
before my eyes

I continue in my rosary meditation, now with eyes peeled skyward, multitasking concentration.

the rainbow wanes
from right to left vanishing
to azure sky

My day is now set to the rhythm of poetry, to the majesty of nature's bounty, glum pyjamas prayerfully shed. I choose the garment of gratitude to revel with in joyfulness instead.

IN GLORIOUS SUNSHINE
For sake of fun
Out came Sun
Shining in splendor
Young smiles render
Treasured aplomb to pomp
Happy feet stomp
To pertinent music brand
Signature of our Land
Always the mothers add
Last minute glad
And the fathers too
Fix intricate headpiece or two

BREAKFAST
They are: Hat and Scarf
Putting heads together,
For a small view, of a larger world

Very much like, Ham and Eggs
Scrambled into a tasty mush;
The shells had to be broken first

Breakfast, is really a metaphor
That has brought them together
As sweet repast after the fast

A STRANGER ASKING
Walk along the Main Road,
The doubles vendors are crowded in
By eager feasters;
Some having breakfast,
Some having a bite after all night hangovers.

The seller umbrellas spread like roofs
Over cozy little huts,
Where there is family to be fed;
The measure of hot sauce to be added:
Slight pepper, or heavy.

Doubles vendors are male, female, or,
Whole families plying their fast tasty wares;
Some queues are long and winding,
Some, arcs upon arcs of circles,
Jostling for this street delight.

But what of the young man,
Carrying a backpack,
At ten in the morning, in the Season of Carnival,
Standing, right there in the Doubles vendor's spot;
Asking.

Where could he buy doubles;
Clearly, a stranger to the culture of buyers;
They come out early in the morning,
Buy, eat-up the doubles,
Then the vendors pack up, and leave for the day.
