Monday WRites 170

[Images in today's mosaic from Bing dot com]

BACKPACKS TODAY
Backpacks swallow books pens pencils,
Stuffing itself with these and some surprises,
Tasty kindles and yummy cellphones,
New treats for new age packs.
Lunches though, they sometimes lack.
Does the adage still digest?
An apple for the teacher.

  6. I wonder if any child actually takes an apple for the teacher these days? Did they ever? Thanks for taking us back to our schooldays this week at Mosaic Monday.

  7. A very clever poem, Gillena. Our kids still use backpacks even though one has graduated from college and the other has two years to go. It is a very handy item to have!
