CONTEMPLATION:A QUADRILLE
You know me well.
You will never charge me of logolepsy.
Laconic is more to my being.
Raindrops on my roof, and i am impressed.
Still, knowing sadness,
That somewhere the floods distress others.
Ah still tis wabi sabi.
Raindrops draw me in contemplation.

I really like this, Gillena...the perspective, the use of "wabi-sabi". Your word choices blended so well with the pensive thoughts in your poem.

Thank you, Gillena, yes there is a magic bit about raindrops. I love to see their spread, splattered at the beginning of rain, onto the sidewalk. I like your photo display, I might, but probably won't,, go back and to that with mine.

For me the word "raindrops" is diminutive, small, serene. Add the word "pattering" and it becomes whimsical. Horrifyingly add what is happening for example in Pakistan, and it can no longer simply be connected to "drops" .... no longer small.

Wonderful! I love your contemplation, Gillena. 💙
