Monday WRites 272

Saturday 14th here in T&T was a holiday. Divali The Festival of Lights observed by the Hindu community. Divali is well embraced into our society so that non Hindus as well participate in the celebration by way of greetings, and in simple ways such as cusine, clothing and going out to see the lights. On the street where i live, this has been a large as life neighbourhood event in pre Covid years embracing persons from other parts of the country and as well foreigners to the event. This year 2020, sadly because of The Covid 19 protocols there was no visible signs of the Festival, street lighting, or visits to our street.

Quadrille #116: Poem Those Possibles

POSSIBILITIES
POSSIBILITIES
The possibility of making a poem possible
Strikes me as not impossible
Largely susceptible to whims and wordiness
Additionally likely to colour and moodiness
A muse stir into such accord will possibly
Allude to tantrum tongue twisters  audibly
Possible peacocks pruned to pretty plummage?

  8. Hi Gillena :) That's a shame about Duvali...all festivals have been canceled here too, I never really participated but I know lots of folks who were bummed out by not being able to celebrate publicly. Your food look delish! :)

  10. Love all the alliteration you've employed in your Quadrille. :) And I am pretty sure I should come with a warning label that steals your line:
"Largely susceptible to whims and wordiness"

    ;)

  17. You will never what it will turn out to be. I am all for falling into whims and wordiness. Too bad about the celebrations - its been like this for months now. Take care.

  18. I am the wizard of wordiness it seems. Like Rob K., I just write my poem, and then begin editing it down to 44 words. Your alliteration tickled me; great fun.

  19. A great rhythm in your poem of possibility. The holidays will definitely be different this year.
